Shipping policy

How We Ship:

All items are shipped from the Space Foundation Discovery Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, U.S.A. directly to your specified shipping address (residence or business) within 14 business days of when you place your order. 

All Domestic U.S.A. orders will ship via either USPS or UPS Ground, and Non-Domestic U.S.A. and International orders will ship via USPS or other international carriers.

 

What are the shipping charges?

Shipping charges for your orders vary depending on the contents of the order as well as the destination. Your exact shipping charge is quoted immediately upon adding an item to your cart and inputting the shipping address during the check out process.

 

International Duties:

In some cases you may be required to pay local or national import duties or taxes to your local customs office. All duties, taxes, tariffs, and/or VAT charges are the responsibility of the package recipient to pay. We have no means to determine in advance if you will be taxed or what these taxes may amount to. We recommend you research and contact your local customs bureau to determine if you will be required to pay any additional duties.

 

Delivery Delays:

There are several common reasons a delivery is delayed, and in many cases results in the original shipment being returned to the Space Foundation Discovery Center. In all these cases you will be contacted immediately and the situation will be resolved. Incorrect or invalid shipping address, recipient unavailable to receive delivery, or a shipment that is damaged in transit are all issues that will cause delays.

Please also be aware that there may be shipping delays for a variety of reasons, such as a national holiday, weather events, or long distance to travel (such as international deliveries). Once a order is turned over to the package carrier(s), the Space Foundation is unable to control any delays.

 

Lost Shipments:

If you feel that your shipment has been lost in route, please contact us immediately and we will determine if it is actually lost in route or just delayed. If it is lost, a replacement order will be processed and shipped immediately. We cannot track or trace international shipments, therefore we cannot deem them lost until 60 days after the shipping date. When 60 days has passed, an insurance claim will be filed and a replacement shipment will go out immediately, at no additional charge.

If your tracking information shows the package was successfully delivered and you still have not received it, please contact the delivery company directly. Once the delivery company confirms your item(s) have been successfully delivered, the Space Foundation Discovery Center cannot interact with the delivery company on this package and has no further responsibility for the package.

 

COVID-19 Update:

The Space Foundation complies with all local, State, and Federal regulations in determining our operational status. Due to these factors and to help ensure our staff is protected and safe, your orders and returns may experience delays in processing and shipping. We appreciate your understanding in advance and will continue to work to get your orders and returns to you in a timely fashion.
